Chromatic in the key of A is always going to be a workout and I think the fingerstyle ukulele version is straight up too hard to play. I will post this song over on Jolly Roger Ukulele in a better key. I finished this up because I’m playing the guitar version (which lays in perfectly for that instrument) at a celebration of life for one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. Hilda Guttendorfer was a poet among many of her talents and made it to 97 years old after growing up in Nazi Germany. She always told me this was her dad’s favorite song. It’s a rather unsavory topic, but the melody and harmonies are wonderful.
